SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 623 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, as well as 72 additional deaths. The IDPH also announced that 26 men at the East Moline Correctional Center have been confirmed positive for the coronavirus. Three staff at the facility have also tested positive, with one recovered. These cases have all been traced to the same dorm-style living unit.
