PERU – Spring has sprung, which means severe weather season is fast approaching. During this time, thunderstorm, tornado, flood warnings and watches can be expected. According to the National Weather Service during a thunderstorm or tornado watch, monitoring the weather and having a shelter planned is encouraged. During a warning, it is highly advised to act immediately by taking shelter indoors. A flood watch means there’s potential and warning means flooding is or will happen.
