PRINCETON – The Princeton School Board opened up a forum to propose a new middle school facility and renovations to existing schools. Superintendent Tim Smith presented the phases of the overall project to abate asbestos and demolish Lincoln Elementary and Logan Junior High Buildings and repair the Douglas and Jefferson Elementary Buildings. The project would also include a brand new 110, 000 square foot facility for 3rd through 8th grade located on East County Road 2100 and Dover Road. The new building would feature multiple gyms, an exclusive route for buses and a district staff office. Superintendent Tim Smith says ultimately the goal is to get the district within two sites, Jefferson Elementary and the new middle school building. A referendum will be made for the Princeton community to vote on the plans.
