PERU – A new hotel could coming to the north side of Peru. An ordinance was passed Monday night at the Peru City Council Meeting to approve and authorize the execution of a TIF District redevelopment project between the city and Sidlyd Phi, LLC to build an 88 room Hilton Hotel. The 12 million dollar project will be located on the 1839/1841 May Road property. Alderman David Puthoff says the project is part one of major economic development in the city. According to Attorney Herb Klein, the project not only will improve the blighted area, but create more jobs and possibly spur greater development.
