DEKALB – A woman who was originally reported as being abducted from DeKalb County on Friday afternoon apparently was taken into custody by a bail bond company from Mississippi. According to the DeKalb Police Department, after an investigation it was determined that she may have defaulted on a bail bond contract and was to be taken back to DeSoto County, Mississippi. Investigators spoke with the woman and determined that she was safe. The DeKalb County Sherriff’s Department, Northern Illinois University Police Department, Sycamore Police Department, and the Illinois State Police assisted in this case.
